Most, if not all, internet markers come across a major problem in the beginning of their career or certainly, a few times down the road. What is that problem you ask? Money, or lack thereof. Why? Because most newbies to the industry or running-out-of steam experienced marketers don't want to work for their traffic, but rather they want to buy their traffic. And that could lead to only one thing if you don't know what you're doing. Poverty!
The great news is that there are three effective yet free methods that can be utilized to drive traffic to any website if done on a consistent basis. The first is exactly what I'm doing right now! Article marketing. What an amazing way to provide value to the world while driving traffic back to your website. However, be certain that you deliver on the promise of your article. What I mean by that is if your article title states that you're going to give 5 tips on how to do something, make sure you give 5 tips. No more and no less. In addition, the article must be grammar-free. If you consistently write articles over a 90 day period, I can almost guarantee a flood of traffic back to your site.This is one of the best free marketing methods out there.
Secondly, compliment your article with a video. That's right! Video marketing. Making videos have become the norm in internet marketing and if you're not doing it, you're leaving a ton of money on the table. A great idea would be to do a video about the article you just wrote. Once the video is recorded, you can go to one of the video submission sites that will automatically disseminate your video to multiple sites with a push of a button. Commit to making 90 to 100 videos within a 3 month period. Watch your sales explode!
Third, and probably the biggest phenomenon that has emerged during the information and communication age, is social media. I would bet a billions dollars that as you're reading this article, you have a social media page. But I can also bet that you do not know how to utilize that page to drive traffic to your site and leverage its power. The most important tip that I can convey is to develop relationships with the people on your social media list. Don't be the person at the party that as soon as you walk in, you start selling something. You'll just fall flat on your face. Instead, make sure you get to know that person. Ask about their family, their pictures of places they've been. By doing it this way, you will build trust. And once trust is established, you can then introduce your business.
